Vilnius Salomeja Neris Gymnasium is a general education comprehensive school located in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. It is a small school with 384 students (aged 14-18) and there are 48 teachers with long experience in their professions. Our school promotes high achievement, personal development, and learning for life. It helps its students develop thinking and enquiring minds with a spirit of curiosity, become highly motivated learners, and open to the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of modern life. As one of the aims of our school is to help learners to develop themselves aesthetically, culturally, intellectually, and spiritually. It wants them to become creative and brave individuals whose competence and skills are not just a priority, but more importantly a necessity.

While most of our students are Lithuanian, there are also students who come from minority families. In order to support them in their courses, we provide them with additional courses to have the same opportunity as their peers to be successful at school. There are also a lot of activities for these students to increase their integration. Our motivation for this project is to share our experience with our partners for better integration of our students belonging in the community. In 2017, our school decided to become an institution that is not afraid of changes and whose sole purpose is not only to provide general knowledge but also for students to have an up-to-date competence, i.e. the skills to adjust in a fast-changing world. Thus, we started to take part in international projects like Erasmus and eTwinning. For this purpose, teachers from different branches have joined the projects in the eTwinning platform.
 
The key persons who are assigned for this project have contributed to the project in the eTwinning platform titled "Bridging Cultures". As the main objective of this project is the integration of refugee/immigrant students, the students are expected to do the activities not only in the online platform but also in LTT activities abroad. These activities will make them more connected to each other and socialize throughout the project process. If any of the key persons leave the appointment for health or any other reasons, the principal of the institution will appoint the other colleagues who have the same qualifications that the project needs. It is foreseen that the project's implementations obtained at the end of this project will increase the knowledge and experience of the students and teachers participating in the project.
