THE MORE VARIETY, THE BETTER SOCIETY

Zespol Szkol is located in Żychlin in the center of Poland. Our school provides general education in all basic subjects, students (aged 14-19) attend school for 4 (high school) - 5 (technical vocational school) years and take matriculation exam in the end. The final exam allows them to enter colleges and universities. The majority of our students go to different universities in Poland.

 

Over 200 students attend the school that offers the educational facilities necessary to ensure their effective learning and a friendly environment for their intellectual development. There are about 20 teachers employed in the school. There are well-equipped language classrooms, a computer lab, a library with various kinds of books.

 

The school is situated in a town, Żychlin with a population of one thousand citizens. The school is in the agricultural region and many of the students come from nearby villages. Some of the students are disadvantaged for social-economic reasons. Teenagers come from different social environments, some of whom come from broken homes. Our school also has immigrant
students coming from different countries such as Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, etc. The main source of education and development for them is our school. We want to give our students the chance to be well educated, modern citizens of Europe.

 

Since 2002, we have been cooperating with partner schools from abroad. Our contacts fruited various projects from 2002 to 2018. We believe that participating in a project develops students' capabilities, attitudes, communication, and cooperation skills. So, our priority is to bring young people together and make them more active and sociable throughout the activities. We hope that this project will make both the students and the school staff more creative and innovative, they will be able to use their talents and potentials. We want to enable our students to experience something new to broaden their horizons, to improve communication skills, and to promote research on the topics that are not taught at school.

The staff members appointed for this project are all qualified in Erasmus and eTwinning projects. They have carried out various projects and also made a contribution to the project in the eTwinning platform titled "Bridging Cultures". With the help of this project, the teachers will support their students not only in the online platform but also in the activities of international LTT mobilities. If any of these persons leave the appointment for health or any other reasons, the director of the institution will appoint other colleagues who have the same qualifications that the project needs.
